Across I-76 from Bromley Park is Barr Lake State Park, an outstanding 1,918 acre state-managed wildlife habitat offering non-motorized boating, fishing, bird watching, picnic grounds, and more than nine miles of hiking/biking/equestrian trails. A peaceful relaxing haven for wildlife enthusiasts, the park is also the headquarters for the Colorado Bird Observatory (featuring over 300 species of waterfowl). The adjoining interpretive Nature Center offers nature programs for the whole family, guided walks, and special programs like nighttime astronomy sessions. To reach the park, take Bromley Lane east to Piccadilly Road, then south to the park entrance.
Adams County Regional Park & Fairgrounds

To the southwest of Brighton, adjacent to the meandering South Platte River, lies the 1,150 acre Adams County Regional Park. The park provides convenient fishing, camping, and picnic opportunities, and is within easy access to the Adams County Fairgrounds, Riverdale Dunes municipal golf course (rated among the top public golf courses in Colorado), and the Adams County Museum and Cultural Center.
